wyndham hotel : The rip-off American Airlines promotion of the year, IMHO, however, isWyndham Hotel/American Airlines "triple upgrade" promotion. With thisdeal, after spending a night in a Wyndham Hotel, on a subsequent stay withWyndham, a person gets a free upgraded room (only if he stays at fullbusiness rates with Wyndham), a free upgrade to a better seat (assumptionis 1st class - but to get this one has to pay FULL COACH), and a freeupgrade on a rental car (I believe with Avis, and I don't recall the"catch" but there is one). Bottom line is I made a conscious choice tostay at a Wyndham Hotel last year in Boston for $195 a night (I'm not a$195 a night type, typically), and only after CHECKING OUT THE NEXTMORNING did I get my certificate for all these wonderful "triple"upgrades...what a farce. If I satisfied all these requirements, I wouldnot NEED a discount...I'ld just by outright the 1st class ticket and payfor the Wyndham out of my AMEX platinum card (being sarcastic here).I've tried multiple times to talk to American Aadvantage about theNEGATIVE PUBLICITY that these grossly-restrictive promotions heap on theentities involved. Such as I will never, ever, stay at a Wyndham Hotelagain. I'm totally turned off to this hotel now, if I ever had theopportunity to stay at one. Their (Aadvantage's) response - I shouldhave read the restrictions BEFORE I stayed in the hotel. I could just seethat picture - go up to the front desk, with bags in hand, ask to see thefine print on the back of the coupon, then turn around and walk out. Downtown Boston. What a picture.
wyndham hotel : RCI has booked us at the Wyndham next week. Does anyone have anyexperiences they'd like to share?Never been there myself but had 4 couples there 2 weeks ago and they allsaid they thought it was great. Perfect location for shopping and otheractivities.We stayed there, booked through RCI. The hotel has changed hands but isin the process of going through alot of renovations. It is co locatedwith the Omni mall, although not much there, it is something. One thingthat is great is the people mover, for about 25 cents a person you cantake this tram over to the bayside mall, there is where there is alot ofactivity. Hard rock cafe, and numerous places to eat. Matter of factthat is where we ate dinner that night. Walked back to the people mover,about 5 minutes and back to the hotel.The day we left they were moving about 700 folks over to the ships,Enchantment and Monarch. Although the in processing went well, I thinkif i were doing it over I might opt for a cab, but but even if you getto the ship sooner, it sure aint gonna leave. We did get on the ship by1230 100 and went right up for the buffett. We thought the food in thehotel was pricey so we went over to the burger King, (just across thestreet) for breakfast.

wyndham hotel : The Wyndam has a couple of restaurants within including what appearedto be a great bar, sadly it doesn't open until after 5PM. We electedto head out to Bayside by the pier which is an almost straw marketatmosphere shopping center with numerous eateries, The eateries arealmost all outside though and it was hot. There is a Hard Rock Cafethere and an Italian Indoor Restaurant which is where we ate. The foodwas excellent. There are several small boat cruises available to taketo the rich and famous homes along the Miami Coast as well. You've heard the expression of taking a 25 cent tour. Well in Miamiyou can literally do that. They have a Metro Mover which is similar toa one car monorail that you can ride for a quarter. Fully automated,it runs around the area on two loops. We decided to try it and had aball getting lost but looking down on Miami from the rail. Weeventually figured out where to get off and change to the inner loopfor the Bayside stop. The system appeared safe enough with us meetingup with armed transit type Police Officers twice. Don't think mostwould be happy trying it in night time in Miami but in the daytimeseemed just fine. The short cab ride back to Wyndham that evening fromBayside costs $5 plus in comparison.

I saw a business associate whom I knew for a while that night in my room. There was a policewoman working as a night shift security guard at the hotel entrance and she suspected the woman when she left. That bitch then harassed my friend, got my room number, got my room phone log that night.(!!) Both of us were not married, she was a professional woman,and we insisted we did nothing wrong. We demand an apology from the manager.
