I booked a room for five days in New York (mid-October, a traditionally busy time in NY) for $90 a night. The hotel is the Hilton Hotel on Sixth Ave. (excuse me, Avenue of the Americas) & 53rd St. You get to specify the area of the city where you want to stay and the level of luxury (one star to five stars). The Hilton was listed as a four-star. Just make sure your plans aren't going to change, since there are no changes or refunds allowed at all when you book through Priceline. hotels in new york : Ik ga in November naar New York en was eigenlijk van plan daar een(relatief goedkoop) hotel te boeken. Ik hoorde onlangs echter dat eenhotel boeken in New York zelf minstens dubbel zo duur is als datzelfdehotel hier bij een reisorganisatie te boeken (ivm schaalinkoop e.d.).Weet iemand of dit zo is? Geldt dat voor alle hotels of alleen voor dedure? Ik neem aan dat low-budget in New York ongeveer overeenkomt metonze low-budget prijzen. Of betalen wij de helft van wat Amerikaansebackpackers betalen.Laat het me aub even weten, anders moet ik nu snel een hotel gaanboeken!Overigens, bij welke reisorganisatie kan ik dat het beste doen?Ik had dit jaar bij NBBS een hotel in New York geboekt (hotel "New Yorker")voor 330,- voor 2 nachten (inclusief 10,- reserveringskosten). Omgerekendnaar dollars is dat dus $83 per nacht. In New York zelf uiteraard evengekeken wat een kamer kostte als je daar zelf was aan komen lopen, en datbleek vanaf $100 te zijn. Het kan dus wel iets schelen als je't via eenreisbureau doet, maar super-veel maakt het nu ook weer niet uit.
hotels in new york : Ik weet niet in wat voor soort onderkomen jij slaapt als je het over budgethebt, dit (100 dollar!!) is voor mij wel een erg luxe onderkomen. Moet zeggen dat NY niet de leukste budget onderkomen heeft maar voor 15 a 20 dollar kun je ook terecht. En ik werd er ook nog een beetjelastig gevallen.. maar dat hoort er bij is me vertelt :)een dollar geef je uit als een gulden, hou daar maar vast rekening mee. Leter even op dat in november de NY marathon wordt gehouden!!! Alle hotels inde stad zitten dan echt bommetjevol. Check dus even wanneer dat precies is.NBBS reizen heeft goeie deals. Prima hotels voor prima prijzen. Echte budge=taccomodatie is er bijna niet in New York. Zoals in elke grote stad geld ookhier: big city, hoge prijzen. Als je echter een beetje slim te werk gaat ku=nje een eind komen. Koop de Rough Guide, daar staan veel tips in. Eten doe j=elekker en goedkoop in de beroemde New York Deli's (soort buffetrestaurant e=nsupermarkt in =E9=E9n. Eten pakken, afwegen, betalen en peuzelen maar en dat 24uur per dag!). De Staten Island Ferry is inderdaad de best buy van de stad.Kost 50 dollarcent en je krijgt het meest spectaculaire uitzicht opManhattan dat je je maar kan wensen. Ga om een uur of 5, als de zonondergaat: onvergetelijk!
