I don'tknow yet if it is recommendable (haven't ever been there), but it looks okayand the price is reasonable. Check it out atLast summer I stayed in the Hotel Plaka in the old Plaka district in Athens.Rooms were small but clean w/air conditioning. Some with great views. Nice roofdeck with a view that served drinks at night. Recently I was poking around and found that they have a website:To be honest I don't know what star hotel it is, but I thought it was fine.Hope this helps.Laura

The locationis an easy walk to town, but more or less on the beach. They have a pool and anice bar. I have good memories of watching the cruise ships at night from ourroom. The rooms are NOT fancy, but this is standard.Unfortunately I do not have the Fax or Email number for them. They are listedin several publications.Cavo Tagoo is a cat. It is a B class hotel(probably 3 star) and has always been good for us. All rooms are air-conditioned (essential in July) has a couple of good restaurants butbest of all it has a rooftop pool and bar which have some great views ofthe Acropolis. This year I've been quoted a nightly rate of 21,000 DRMswhich in sterling at the moment works out to about forty pounds. I'llleave it to you to convert to Aus $.
hotels athens : In Mykonos I would strongly recommend the Hotel Rochari.Possibly the friendliest staff ever, the majority of rooms havesuperb views of the city and bay area. They have a huge number ofreturn guests so they must be doing something right. It's also a Bclass hotel but is more expensive than Athens. The room rate quoted was26,000 DRS per night which includes breakfast. (I think I paid 18,000 DRX for a2-bed room, whicjh I used as single.To the Plake it's 10 min. to walk, as well as to Monastiraki, which isthe local flea market.
