hard rock hotel : The Hard Rock takes room reservations eleven months in advance. To hear a tape that lists the shows that are coming to the Hard Rockcall (702)260-7411 and enter code 3007.HARD ROCK HOTEL has two free shuttle buses to the Strip. They are called the Hard Rock Express. There are two routes:-(A) From 8am to 11pm, every hour on the hour to the Fashion Show Malland then the MGM.(B) From 9:30am to 11:30pm, every hour on the half hour to CaesarsForum Shops. The easiest way to get information is to call their toll freetelephone line at 1-800-473-7625 andask for the Shuttle Information Line. It is a recording that will giveyou all the details of pick uppoints etc. Bill-7/1/97"ORBIT" at the Hard Rock Hotel is the latest and hottest nightclub intown! But wait, it's done Las Vegas style.IT OPENS AT 12:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights only.Actually, technically it opens Saturday at 12:30 a.m.and Sunday at 12:30 a.m.It closes both nights at 4:00 a.m.The location of "ORBIT" is in the Hard Rock's showroom"The Joint".There is no dress code but you must be 21 years of age orolder.$5 admission fort men, ladies free. It's being called a groovy late night party with dance music,go-go dancers, pool tables and special lighting. The place is packed and is the must place to be in Las Vegasfor the 21 to 35 year old crowd! If you are in that age bracket, this is a must see!!!

hard rock hotel : - hotel is way off strip at Paradise/Koval. - casino is smallish and circular layout. Impossible to get lost inside. Lots of slippery hardwood flooring. Looks like they spent a fortune decorating the place.- crowd is generally 20s/30s- AOR type music on a decent sound system, which is too loud in some places.- selection of tables and gaming machines is adequate but not spectacular. Some unique themed slot machines. Tables have unique felt decorations, as do gaming chips.- lots of r'n'r memoriablia on display in many glass cases, the best of which is probably the Wall'o'Beatles stuff at the back.- coffee shop has a small selection of overpriced items. - gift shop has a large selection of overpriced items.- dealers are all very young, table rules aren't very good, and many dealers are amateurs and make lots of mistakes. (Have you ever seen a roulette dealer spin the ball up and out of the wheel track three times in a row? I did, at the HRH).- Haven't stayed in their rooms so no comment on those.- parking is adequate and relatively close-in- casino security guards are Armani-suited arrogant assholes.Harv

hard rock hotel : In addition to Harv's comments, Pool is fantastic. Lot's of levels, many waterfalls, ect. Music underwater. Excellent staff. Rental cabanas.Security cards EVERYONE! Even if you are 46 (as I am, and look it)youwill get carded sometime. And the security staff are ALL obnoxiouscreeps. The rooms are very nice, good sized, and quiet (off strip, remember).Food is just OK, nothing to rave about.Gaming stinks. Lousy odds, high min.The young and beautiful people love this hotel. The pool is fantastic, the rooms are nice sized, and the bar in the middle of the casinoreally gets hopping after 10pm. The casino itself is fairly small, and the rules aren't the best, however, if you're not a seriousgambler, you'll still have your fair share of fun. The pit bosses areall very friendly. The food at the cafe (Lucky's) is decent and theItalian restaurant is good but a bit overpriced. Like I mentioned, lots of pretty people; it's a great place to people watch.LMRMy husband & I have stayed there twice. We've also stayed at theLuxor, and have cruised many of the major hotels and played in their casinosjust to get a feel for lots of different places. We like lots of thehotels, but we like the HRH best. The rooms are nice sized and mostadequate, although we like the rooms at the Luxor better. We are inourearly 40's and just prefer the small size of HRH. It's true you can'tget lost in there, which is a plus - we're always terrified of gettingseparated in the bigger hotels and never being able to find each otheragain. We also like the music that fills the HRH. Can't say muchaboutthe gaming, because all we play is slots. I did do quite well onslotson our last trip there. We highly recommend it and will be returningassoon as we can. Overall, it's the general atmosphere at HRH that welike best. The various employees we dealt with were all veryfriendly.PAM

hard rock hotel : Didn't stay there, but took the shuttle over on Tuesday to check itout. It is quite a ways off the strip. Not much else to do outthere. The pool is nice, but too many 20-somethings for my taste. The musicin the casino is nice, but I managed to lose a BUNCH of money at thecasino in about 30 minutes. I was ready to go after 1 hour. Not muchof a casino, IMO.I hear the rooms are nice, but it didn't seem that interesting to me.SONYAThe Hard Rock is an excellent hotel property with a fantastic poolarea. The rooms are good sized, well appointed and nicely decorated. The casino is small, and very tight. Lot's of beautiful people there.Good coffee shop. Location is not the best since it is off strip(abouta mile), but some find this an advantage. Chuck---6/10/97Another great special is at the Hard Rock coffee shop. For $5.95 onegets a salad, eight ounce sirloin and barbecued shrimp (3 large size on a skewer), and a baked potato. Food is good, atmosphere is typical noisyContrary to popular belief, I'd recommend the Hard Rock hotel/casino,for a couple of reasons. It is geared directly to your age group. It has (arguably) one of the best pool areas in town. It's off strip (but you have a car) location let's you get away fromthecrowds. It's close enough to the action of the strip that you can literally bein the center of things in minutes. The hotel is a first class operation, nice rooms, decent coffee shopanda theater venue with many current R&R performers. Chuck---7/10/97

hard rock hotel : Get a high floor over looking the pool!Have a blast, if you're young or young at heart--you'll love it.Net---8/28/97IMHO great place - I have spent many hours there ... rooms are allnice -w ith doors that open outwards ... friendly staff - treat theirplayers well - if you have any problems the casino mgr at night will help youout (ask for Joe) ... dealers are all very friendly! and of course foodis good in Mr. Lucky's - the cafe' which is seperate from the mainbuilding is cool place to see ... and they always have loud rock music playing- if you get a chance check out their Music Venue - called "The Joint".Jon Jacobs---10/9/97Of all the casinos we visited during our August trip to Vegas, welikedthe Hard Rock best--just for that great music and atmosphere. We didnot hit any slot jackpots, but during at 15-minute period 4 women inourarea hit jackpots over $100 (couldn't happen to us, no........) It'ssmall enough where you don't worry about losing other people in yourparty.Since it's off the strip, I don't think we'd stay there, butdefinitelywill visit it again! Pat B. Sheahan---10/10/97-----Hope the above will help you,...Viva Las Vegas...
