four seasons hotel : I've heard that the rooms aren't any bigger than the Mandalay Bay rooms, butMBay has the nicest and largest hotel room I've ever stayed in. However, Idon't travel as much as I'd like and we're not a high-budget group tocompare Four Seasons with it's peers.The location is a tiny bit of an issue. Some people say it's too far southto be of any use, but I didn't find that to be true. The only locationproblem with the Four Seasons is that none of the neighboring resorts carrythat same level. You have the family friendly Exaclibur and MGM, as well asthe age-defying Luxor. The other two HighRoller specialties (Venetian andBellagio) are stuck up in the middle of the strip, and are surrounded byother quality acts (Mirage and Caesars, just to name two). Mandalay Bay is avery nice resort that doesn't scream for a family audience, but if youwanted to just soak in the Mandalay Bay, you wouldn't have paid extra forthe Four Seasons room, wouldn't you?This, of course, assumes you're of the same "Children = Bad" mindset thatmost of the visitors to this group have. If you actually are traveling withChildren, Four Seasons is the friendliest of the high-roller hotels, as theyactually have a few kid-friendly services. Unfortunately, I don't rememberthe details, but I believe it has something about children's menus andpossibly a babysitting style service similar to what the MGM offers. Callfor details, I guess.
four seasons hotel : Actually, the Las Vegas Four Seasons is a 4 star hotel (according toMobil), on par with Caesars and Bellagio. Mandalay Bay is 3 stars witha Check Mark. Four Seasons is a 5 diamond AAA hotel.I stayed at the Four Seasons and it was a great place in just about everyrespect except one: When I check into a hotel, I like to unpack my suitcaseand put my stuff in the dresser drawers. Guess what -- no dresser drawers. Had to leave everything in the suitcase. The armoire had spaces for drawers,but, no drawers. Other than that very weird anomaly, it was a great stay. Ihad a room that overlooked the entire strip. Staff was great. Verycomfortable.Anybody know how the FS compares with the Venetian, where I'm staying in abouta month?JimoranIn my opinion, the Four Seasons in LV cannot compare to other FS I havevisited. The service isn't bad, but it does not live up to the FS standard inany way, shape or form.We had a strip view jr suite that was lovely. There was a walk-in closet andthe bathroom was huge.FS hotels usually have a great breakfast buffet, but this one was terrible.
