I hope this doesn't count as bullying ! ;-)Yes, this does make me suspicious of the claim that Baha'u'llah isChrist returned - Baha'u'llah wrote in pseudo-KJV, while everyoneknows that Jesus spoke plain EnglishAw, c'mon Nick :), He wrote in Arabic and Persian! Seriously though, it was His great-grandson, Shoghi Effendi, who used KJV English for many of the Writings as SOME of the original Writings are written in an elevated form of Arabic. The translations of letters to merchants, artisans, etc. were translated into a more common-use English. And anyway, we all know that when Jesus set up the Kirk in Scotland He didnay speak the English, 'twas the Gaelic that was His language. All rumours about Aramaic, etc. are totally unfounded.It always baffles me why an angel should dictate a translation ofcertain writings from gold plates purported to be written in Egyptian,to a C19th American in a form of C16-17th English.
brighton hotels : Possibly not quite so moronic as it sounds. I cannot remember exactly when this occurred but the whole world (tm) was waiting for the Return about the middle of the 19th century. Some worked it out as 1843/44 (e.g.Wolff and Miller) while others went for 1863 or thereabouts (JWs). (The Muslims were also awaiting the return in the year 1280AH which equates to 1843/44.) How you got the date depended on how you interpreted certain prophecies in Daniel and in the Qur'an.Anyway, here are all these zealous Americans waiting on top of mountains for the Return of the Lord Jesus, and then were disappointed 'cos he didn't appear. So now we have religious fervour seething nearly at boiling point and along comes Joseph Smith with the Book of Mormon, which makes us all into potential Christs and Creators and written in a language that people were familiar with in their Holy Bibles. brighton hotels : ErisCo are currently expanding the website to include a tourists guide toBrighton - so for anyone fancying a weekend by the seaside, as well as allthe bumph on local gigs, events, cinema screenings of note there`ll be aguide to ErisCo approved places to eat, drink, shop etc. What we don`treally have much visibility of is of the hotel / B&B side of things, sincewe alrady live here.....Hence we`re quite keen to hear from people who have stayed in any and canhelp us compile a list of the real goodies and baddies to look for -particularly any that people have found to be goth friendly or unfriendly.Any info people can pass on would be greatly appreciated, Both by us, andI`m sure anyone who ends up having a better holiday because of it.
